Vivian Maier  Maier (1926 – 2009) was a street photographer. Her main focus in her work is day to day life. Most of her photographs are black and white, but with some time,  Maier started to veer towards colored photographs. The portfolio titled “Street 5” is self-explanatory in terms of the work it consists of. The photo that caught my attention in this portfolio is dated/ titled “October 31, 1954. New York, NY”, as the use of perspective makes this photo stand out from the rest.  Maier’s work was hidden away, unseen until her work was found and then distributed.  Andre Kertesz Kertesz  (1894 - 1985)  was a Hungarian photographer who's work focused primarily on day to day life. Most of his work is in black and white, with some in a sepia tone. The photo that caught my eye from his work is Hazy Day, taken on November 1920 at Budapest. The soft focus gives a sense of fantasy, as though this photograph was intended for a book. The trees seem to fade into the background
